We had a brilliant sports day and had a great time trying out lots of new challenges! It was even better to have so many friends and family members there to watch and support us πŸ™‚

We’ve been making the most of the outdoors and have been writing some lovely letters to special people! Along with lots of other summery activities…

Some of the children took their last trip to Alexandra House Care Home and enjoyed some Spanish themed activities! And fed the fish afterwards…

We have enjoyed the last few days of our ‘Out of this World’ topic by pretending to be astronauts, building rockets, designing and naming our own aliens and creating our own solar systems!

See you next week when we finally get to find out where our new classrooms are and see what it’s like in Year 1!

Space Centre Trip!πŸš€πŸš€πŸš€

Yesterday we visited the National Space Centre and it was BRILLIANT! Here are a few pictures to sum up our our day πŸ™‚

First we made the exciting journey on the coach to Leicester…

When we arrived we saw a fantastic planetarium show, then went for a bite to eat before we started the real exploring!

We then went up in the lift right up to the top of the rocket! Some of us were a bit nervous but we were all really brave and made the journey together. When we got to the top there was so much to see! A pretend control centre and cabin, a model of the moon and chance for us to pretend to be astronauts…

Then we did lots of exploring on the bottom level of the Space Centre. We looked inside a pretend space centre control room, went on an imaginary journey to the moon and also did some dressing up along the way!

We had an amazing day and we learnt so much in such a short time! Thanks for having us National Space Centre πŸ™‚βοΈπŸ™‚βοΈ
